Purchasing the Fund

The minimum for regular accounts is $2500, and for Individual Retirement Accounts $1000.

The fund is only available to U.S. investors, and is not currently available for purchase in all states. For a list of states one can purchase the fund please see the Fund Fact Sheet. All other states will be considered, upon sufficient investor demand. If your state is not listed as available, and you have interest in purchasing the fund, please email us with anticipated investment amount and your state of residence.

1) Direct Account

You can invest by opening a direct account (regular account or IRA), funded by check or wire, after downloading paper application forms (no commission charges by this method). You may also fund an account via a transfer from an account held at another broker. For a full list of documents, please visit the Documents page. If you prefer, you can request an application and prospectus be mailed to you through Shareholder Services. This same phone number can be used if you have any questions on how to open an account or conduct a transfer.

2) Invest via Brokerage

Paladin Long Short Fund is available through accounts on the following platforms – unless noted otherwise a commission payable to the brokerage will be required:

  • Vanguard (‘No Transaction Fee’ Fund)
  • Schwab
  • Scottrade
  • OptionsXpress
  • T Rowe Price (orders must be phoned in, at this time)
  • TIAA-CREF
  • TradeKing
  • USAA
  • Most brokerages that clear trades through Penson or Pershing (examples: OptionsHouse, Trademonster) Note: Zecco will not offer the fund.

At the current time, the Fund is not available via Fidelity. If you are a current customer of Fidelity and wish Paladin Long Short Fund to be available on their supermarket, please contact Fidelity’s mutual fund customer service department and put in a request.

At the current time, the Fund is not available via TDAmeritrade. If you are a current customer of TDAmeritrade and wish Paladin Long Short Fund to be available on their supermarket, please contact TDAmeritrade’s customer service department and put in a request.

The fund is not currently eligible on the following platforms due to minimum fund size requirements: Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch, Interactive Brokers, or LPL Financial.
